The location of the hotel was perfect. Right near the ramparts and tons of choices for restaurants and shopping and lovely long walks. The location is the primary reason to stay here. The staff is friendly and the hotel itself is historic and really beautiful.

The location can't be beat. We had dinner at a number of restaurants right in the area, although we never dined at the hotel restaurant (for no reason other than to make our way around the city). Our room was lovely and we had a gorgeous view of the ramparts surrounding the city and the bay. We even had a seagull on our window ledge outside our room, as our welcoming committee!
